| This thing seems to be sweet ass, so I'm gonna try it...once again, no Top 5 this week, cause this is nuts...
Step 1: Randomize your Winamp/Itunes playlist (Or Windows Media Player, like me) Step 2: Post a few lines from the first 20 songs that play (20 may be a bit excessive, but I'm bored...) Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess which song it is Step 4: Strike out songs when someone gets them if you're not too lazy to do it. Step 5: No googling!
1. I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand. Walking through Soho in the rain. He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's Going to get himself a big dish of beef chow mein
2. As you enter this life, I pray you depart With a wrinkled face And a brand new heart.
3. I know she's gonna leave my broken heart behind her, I take what she's giving up. I know she's gonna leave this broken man behind her, I take what she's giving up.
4. People talk about me, baby Say I'm doin you wrong, doin you wrong. But don't you worry baby, don't worry mama, Cause I'm right here, right here, right here, right here at home.
5. I was gonna go to class before I got high, I coulda cheated, and I coulda passed, but I got high, I'm takin' it next semester, and I know why...
6. Where's that dame? Where's she gone to? She's a flame that you're drawn to. (You current Ridley folk better get this...)
7. Winter is here again, O Lord, Haven't been home in a year or two. I hope she holds on a little longer, Sent a letter on a long summer day. Made of silver, not of clay. I've been runnin' down this dusty road.
8. Your lips are moving, I cannot hear. Your voice is soothing, but the words aren't clear. You don't sound different, I've learned the game.
9. Why'd I have to go and meet somebody like you? Why'd you have to go and hurt somebody like me? How could you do somebody like that? Hope ya know that I'm never comin' back.
10. When I think of all the times I've tried so hard to leave her, She will turn to me and start to cry. And she promises the earth to me and I believe her, After all this time I don't know why.
11. A friend says that your love won't mean a lot, But you know that your love is all you've got. At times, things are so fine, and at times they're not, But when she says she loves you, that means a lot.
12. Everybody's got a price, Everybody's gonna pay, Cause the Million Dollar Man ALWAYS gets his way! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
13. Ah, Kansas City, gonna get my baby back home, yea yea. I'm going to Kansas City, gonne get my back back home, yea yea. Well it's been a long. long time since my baby's been gone.
14. You're asking me, will my love grow. I don't know, I don't know. You stick around, now it may show, I don't know, I don't know.
15. Little darling, it's been a long, cold, lonely winter. Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here.
16. Nine planets round the sun Only one does the sun embrace Upon this watered one So much do we take for granted
17. The dawn is breaking, Our lightg shining through, You're barely waking, And I'm tangled up in you, yeah.
18. Name it, read it, tune it, print it, Scan it, send it, fax-rename it. Touch it, bring it, obey it, watch it, Turn it, leave it, stop-format it.
19. No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue, I could not foresee this thing happening to you. If I look hard enough into the setting sun, My love will laugh with me before the morning comes.
20. And then she tied to the wall, and stuck a funnel in my mouth, And force-fed me nothing sauerkraut until I was 26-and-a-half years old.
There they are, happy guessing...this will be on Myspace also...
| This seemed kinda cool, so I wanted to try it...no Top 5 this week, because this is a long one...
TRY THIS: write 15 statements intended towards 15 people but never tell them it was about them or would never say it to their face or something you wish you would have said, but didn't...
1. My favorite Puerto Rican...I really don't get to see much of you anymore, which sucks. Only the times when Steph and I get to hang with that crew do I really spend time with you. I miss the days in the dungeon doing whatever and just being crazy. Hopefully, come summer, I'll get there more often.
2. Another person I don't see much, matter of fact I see this one less...I can't even remember the last time I saw your face. I may not talk to you as much, but I guarantee I know what's going on with you: lots of alcohol consumption, and a very small amount of work, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Since 7th grade when I realized you lived right around the corner, we've been good friends, and again, I miss the old days of the Dungeon.
3. The only friend of mine allowed to make fun of my mom and get away with it. No matter when, where, or why we're together, my sides are hurting every time I see you from laughing too hard. Senior Week, especially, but then you were there for more than just laughs. You really showed your sensitive, compassionate side then, and I'll be forever grateful. Just, uh, lay off the fruit punch and Smirnoff, eh? Burger chunks = NOT PLEASANT.
4. CHEESECAKE! One crazy motha, but the longest of all my Ridley friends. I'll never be able to thank you enough for taking in the lost fat kid as a friend in 7th grade, a friendship that stills goes on. Eventually, you became a Dungeon Dweller too, and the memories just go on and on and on. One of my dearest friends, and hopefully it'll stay that way.
5. Wildwood. Every July. Always a good time. Whether we're chasing down Surfer Dancy Pants, eating Polak Ice till we're sick, or throwing Tart N' Tinys at ugly chicks, I don't think I've ever been as excited for that vacation as I have been. You are one crazy kid, and eventually you'll have your own language with all those words you make up. Ca't wait till '06, it's gonna be hot. Word dun.
6. The first grade that moved away a quiet, nice boy and came back a loud, boorish bastard. Despite this, you're still a hell of a lot of fun to be with. When I started being friends with you again, it was like you never left. You've got a big heart for others, and sometimes I don't think people realize it enough. You care about your friends, enough to ball like a baby in front of a bonfire when the prospect of us leaving for college hit your head. Only a true friend cares that much, no matter how ridiculous you looked, and how much shit you probably got for it. Thanks for always being a friend man, you're always there when I need you.
7. You need a lot of psychological help. You seem to think that nothing you do affects people, and if people don't live the way you do, if they don't fit into your interpretation of what life is, they're wrong. Do us all a favor, and extract your head from your ass as soon as you can. Your friends care about you, but their patience is wearing thin. Realize that some things ARE your fault, take responsibility, and let shit go. Don't keep bringing shit back up because you think it's funny. It's not, it's annoying. And if you know who you are, and you get offended by this, good, cause that means it sunk in.
8. The keeper of the Dungeon, the ruler of all that happens within the group, and, consequently, the receiver of all the phone calls. Whether you like it or not, plans run on your actions. You're the leader, we are your followers. To be honest, though, I'm glad it's you who undertakes this daunting task, although sometimes unwillingly, because in my opinion, you're the only one fit for the position. You very rarely do not welcome someone into your house, you're always there with open arms to accept anyone who wants to hang out, and you're plain awesome. It's good to know that I'm always a phone call away from a guaranteed good night, cause a night in your basement never fails to be entertaining. I hope I can get there more often, I miss it a lot.
9. The craziest suitemate one could ask for. Loud, proud, and a lot of fun. I'm really lucky to have had you as a roommate, cause I don't think I'd have had as much fun as a Temple freshmen as I have. Thanks man, and hopefully we can continue to be friends through college and in the real world.
10. The other suitemate, quieter than the first, but just as good a friend. You and I share an understanding that the other usuals don't quite grasp: relationships. Both of us have long, happy relationships, and both of us know how to deal with the other when there's a fight. Again, I'm very lucky to have had you as a suitemate, cause freshmen would not have gone as smoothly without you.
11. I don't tell you this often, and I doubt you'll read this unless someone shows it to you, but you really are the coolest sister a guy could have. We have a lot more in common that I realize, and although I'm not as tolerant or considerate of you as I should be, I truly love you, and I'm a lucky, lucky guy to have a kick-ass sister like you.
12. A person I didn't think I'd have the opportunity to become as close to as I am now. You are one of the most witty people I know, and you're very good with your words, jokes, etc. I must say, though, that even though you may sometimes get on my nerves a little bit, I owe you a huge debt of gratitude, for you have done more for me than I ever expected. You showed me that something I thought to be unattainable IS possible, and the progress I have made has only proven it to me. Thank you for being my resident comedian, my diet consultant, and most importantly, my friend. Like the suitemates, freshmen year at Temple would not have been as fun without you as it was with you.
13. The longest friendship I have, and I'm lucky to have it. You've been there since 1st grade, over 12 years, whenever I needed someone to hang with, someone to talk to, whatever. I may not have been the best friend I could be, but you never cared. You were always happy to see me and always happy to do something with me, whether it was drive to Springfield Mall or just hang in one of our houses. Wildwood vacations became much more interesting when I was allowed to bring you along, because now the three of us tear shit up like nobody's business. I am extremely lucky to have you as a friend, I hope you know that.
14. You came out of NOWHERE. One minute I'm chilling in my room, the next I'm hearing the words that would change my life. When I first heard it, I was excited, I actually have what I never thought I would get! It was awesome, and it still is awesome. Recent events have made us closer than we've ever been, and I'm very happy about that. I'm glad to have someone like you not just in my life, but in my family, or Ohana, I suppose. You are the coolest brother a kid like me could ask for, and I knew from the second I met you that our relationship would be awesome. I love ya bro, and I will for the rest of my life........bitch.
15. What can I say? You are single-handedly the most important person in my social life. Without you I have no desire to do anything. You came into my life and changed it forever. Your love gets me through the day, week, the month, whatever. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to have a girl like you in my life. I'll never forget the day we became a couple, where you said actually said yes to a guy asking you out in a elephant suit. Anything's possible, eh? Anyways, thank you for everything you do, everything you are, and everything you have done for me. I love you with all my heart, and I plan to do so for a very long time.
1,000,000 points to anyone who can guess who all of these people are...leave me a comment or Myspace message me, I'm blogging this too...
Until next time kiddies...
| Well, thankfully, Dad is now out of the hospital and back within the confines on his own home. He's relieved from work this week, and he has a doctor's appointment Friday to see if he's healthy enough to be cleared to work again. Yay!
My weekend was great, lotsa Stephie, with is ALWAYS a good thing . Last night I worked, which brings me to this post's Top 5:
Top 5 Things That Piss Me Off About Swiss Farms Customers
5. Not Knowing What To Order: You don't know how many customers I've had that pull up and sit there in silence, pondering just what they should do with themselves. Milk? Bread? Eggs? All three? I don't care, just know what you want when you get to the window! Holding up the line is not the way to have a pleasant Swiss Farms experience.
4. Using Big Bills For Little Totals: 2.45 for a gallon of tea? Let's pay with a $50! .81 for a pint? Let's pay with a $20!, etc. Ri-fucking-diculous. You mean to tell me that you don't have a $1 laying around for that pint? Look, we all know you have money, considering you probably live in Old Swarthmore (Non-Ridley Township Swarthmore), but you don't have to flaunt it.
3. Being On Cell Phone While Ordering: Ok, now I understand if you need to call home and make sure your'e getting everything, fine, but call BEFORE you get to me! My favorite customer in this category is the one who orders stuff, then says "Go get that, I have to call home to see if I'm forgetting anything." What? Two words will end this epidemic once and for all = SHOPPING LIST. Swiss has them, with all of our products, just ask!
2. Completing A Huge Sale, Then Buying Something Little: I call these people the Ticketbusters, because these are the ones who ruin a store's average ticket. $30 sale, feeling really proud of myself, give the customer the receipt, and hear. "Oh, wait, can I get a newspaper too?" So the $30 sale is immediately followed by a sale for a whopping .50. YES! Can't wait to see if my store made the bonus line now!
1. Taking Advantage Of The Convienience: When I say taking advantage, I mean coming up to the window, reading off their entire grocery list, then getting royally pissed off if one thing is wrong or forgotten. These people straight up suck. When I successfully grab over 7 items just as the customer said, but forget the 8th one, ask for it again, and get a scowl and attitude, I just want to pull out a frying pan and start whacking. It's unbelievable to me that one can get pissed at someone who works at a store made entirely for their convienience, a drive-thru milk store. Really people, if you truly abhor little mistakes here and there, muster up the energy, stop being lazy, get out of your car, and shop yourself. Don't give the Swiss Farms employee shit because he or she forgot one item out of your 10-item list. It boggles my mind that people think they're owed something because they drove through and ordered something as opposed to doing it themselves.
Well, that's enough ranting...I'll update again soon...
I love you so much baby...thank you for the awesome weekend...and for being my shoulder when I needed you...so damn lucky
Until next time, kiddies...
| Hello everyone! I'm back from Disney and needless to say, it was pretty amazing. Here is my trip, day by day, 'cause I don't wanna go to bed yet and I have nothing better to do.
Friday: Up at 5 AM, flight at 7:30 got pushed back an hour to 8:30, so we chilled in the airport for a little while. Damn flight crew didn't show up in time. Flight was cool, everyone was quite excited. Got to Florida about 11 AM, grabbed our luggage, and piled into the Tiffany Towncar to go to the All-Star Movies Resort. Our room was ready upon arrival in the Herbie The Love Bug building (Not what we expected, kinds wanted Mighty Ducks, but ah well). After we got settled and unpacked, we went to the food court for a quick bite to eat and it was off to Epcot we went. Did almost everything in Epcot today except for Mission Space, Test Track, and Soarin'. Went to every country, ate dinner at the American Experience, and when we got to Canada, it was Illuminations time. Easily the best fireworks display in WDW. After that, it was back to the hotel and time for bed.
Saturday: Got up, breakfast, and started the day in Animal Kingdom. Rode all of the big rides there, including Kilimanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, and the new ride, Expedition Everest, which was awesome. That giant animatronic yeti at the end makes the whole thing. When we were done in Animal Kingdom, it was time to switch to MGM for Day 1 of my ESPN: The Weekend experience. I saw ESPN Inside: Cold Pizza with Jay Crawford and Dana Jacobsen (no Woody Paige, dammit!). The special guests were all Olympians: Bruce Jenner, Amanda Beard, Bonnie Blair, and Seth Wescott. That was pretty cool, seeing the live interviews and such. After that, we did Star Wars and the Tower of Terror, ate dinner, and headed to Fantasmic for the early show. Man, that show gets better every time I see it. After Fantasmic it was back to the rooms for the night.
Sunday: MGM, all day, Day 2 of my ESPN: The Weekend experience. Started out riding Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller Coaster, then I went over to the ESPN setup just beyond the RRC. Went inside ESPN: The Truck and read a piece from an extremely slow teleprompter (hence my looking like a moron on the copy I got). Next was the ESPN Inside: Baseball Tonight show, which was awesome. All four guys, Karl Ravech, Harold Reynolds, John Kruk, and Peter Gammons came out onto the stage, answered all of the fans' pressing baseball questions, and after the show, came to the edge of the stage for autographs. I got all four on the ESPN: The Weekend pamphlet. I then went straight from that to get in line for the last Dream Job: The Experience show scheduled for the weekend. Dream Job: The Experience is a show where they pick 3 people from the audience to present a highlight package to a live audience, with the highest fan approval being the winner. I was picked because I was first in line, waited an hour for the show, and schmoozed all the Steelers fans around me. I then got to pick one of the four major sports (I chose football) and that was the highlight package they gave me. The judges for this show, which I forgot to read on the pamphlet, were as follows: Hines Ward, MVP of Super Bowl XL (hence the Steelers fans), Adam Vinateri, kicker of the New England Patriots, and Jerry Rice, probably the best wide receiver to play in the NFL. After I did my part, the judges gave a quick critique, and it was the audience's turn to pick. They had to like me, because the response I got was deafening. I won Dream Job! I got a portable gas tailgating grill, ESPN Sports Scene It!, ESPN Trivia Challenge, and other small gifts. Sweet ass! After that, we watched the Indiana Jones show, went to ESPN Zone for dinner, and headed back to the hotel for the night. Probably the best day of the trip for me in a personal sense, but the best day for the whole family had yet to happen...
Monday: OFF DAY! Sat by the pool all day, went to Downtown Disney at night. Ater dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, then did a little shopping. Found the best gift for Steph, a crystal Beauty and the Beast statue with a glass base that I had personalized for us. Very cute. Got all the way down to the West End, where I went into the Virgin Megastore, which is the best store ever, and bought a couple of little things. Monday was the only lazy day we got, and we needed it.
Tuesday: Magic Kingdom day! Breakfast was at Cinderella's Castle at 9:55. Mike and I stole 2 of the plastic swords usually given to little boys out of the basket they were in and swordfought all day long. Saw Philaharmagic, rode Stitch's Great Escape (which was awesome), Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain, which produced the most entertaining part of the trip. After the big drop in Splash Mountain, we got stopped due to a technical problem. All 5 of us decided to crack joke after joke, and suddenly we're all peeing ourselves laughing. Great family moment. After we got off that, we ate dinner and shopped on Main Street until the fireworks show, after which we went back to the room.
Wednesday: Typhoon Lagoon / Downtown Disney again. A really really fun day, Typhoon Lagoon is sweet stuff. Downtown Disney was great too because DisneyQuest = the greatest thing I've ever been in and I bought two video games from the Virgin store for good prices. All in all, a simple day in the trip.
Thursday: Dad suddenly starts to feel ill, but insists on participating in our "cleanup day," where we did everything we hadn't done yet. First, Animal Kingdom for the family Everest ride, then back to the hotel so Dad can rest. He ends up staying there for the rest of the night as Casey and I went to Epcot for Soarin' (which was phenomenal) and Mike and Mom went to Magic Kingdom for Spectromagic. We met up at Epcot and watched Illuminations again, which was great.
Friday: The home day, a sad day for all of us. We all went back to Downtown Disney, but Mom and Mike went shopping while the rest went to DisneyQuest again. A good flight home, but as we got home, Dad started feeling really bad, worse than I've ever seen him, and Mom had to take him to the hospital last night, where he remains today and could remain for a bit longer. It sucks because he planned the trip and gets rewarded with pneumonia in one lung and congestion in the other. Meh. He'll be ok, I'm sure, but still I worry about him a bit.
That's my trip, the abridged version. Other things happened, other jokes came out of it, but not now, I'm tired as hell...maybe sometime later.
And now, the Top 5 for this entry: Top 5 Disney '06 Moments (Without explanation, as it's probably above.)
5: Wave Pool in Typhoon Lagoon 4. End of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks (Message me for more details) 3. The Star Wars Pic of Mike (looks exactly like him) 1 (tie): Winning Dream Job 1 (tie): Getting Stuck on Splash Mountain
That's all for Disney trip, hopefully the next trip is soon!
I love you so much...God I missed you
Until next time, kiddies...
| Life is good. I can't really complain. Yesterday I was oddly ill in the morning, but other than that I've been great. Everything is awesome. Steph especially. Seriously, everyone that currently has a gf and reads this will agree with me when I say this. IS that person in your life so important that your life would crumble if he/she wasn't there? Is he/she the reason you wake up happy, fall asleep happy, and are generally happy the entire day? Have you ever found yourself daydreaming about him/her with a grin of your face so ridiculous that someone around you has to go "What's wrong with you? What's with the look?"
Every one of those things applies to me every day I'm with her...she's such an important part of my life...I really don't know what I would do without her...she makes me who I am
Which means...if you don't like who I am...blame her just kidding...
Alright, now on to a new segment I like to call "Fanelli's Top 5"
In it, I put the Top 5 whatever the topic is. I usually come up with Top 5 topics myself, but I am willing to write one based on a topic suggested to me by anyone who reads this.
Today's Top 5: Top 5 Beatles Songs Of The Moment Since I have pretty much every Beatles song at my disposal on the computer, this Top 5 is rather easy. There are definitely 5 that I listen to more than others, and here they are:
5. Good Night (White Album Disc 2): The song that I fall asleep to every night. No Beatle does anything in this song except Ringo. This song can lull anyone to sleep with its soft melodies and easy listening. A classic.
4. The Long And Winding Road (Let It Be): Also the end of the 1 album, where I learned to love it. Like Good Night, this is a very soft song; no guitar, no hard vocals, just piano, drums, and Paul's voice. Great relaxer.
3. She's Leaving Home (Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band): This song is great for a lot of reasons: interesting story within the lyrics, one of the few Beatles songs with a harp, and a great duet by Paul and John every refrain. A great example of what The Beatles were truly capable of.
2. This Boy (Past Masters Vol.1): Most Beatles fans think of the scene with Ringo walking down the beach during the Help! movie when they think of this song. Any guy who ever lost a girl for another guy (I haven't recently...and probably never will again ) can relate to this song.
1. Yes It Is (Past Masters Vol.1): I don't know what it is about this song, but I can't stop listening to it. A very sorrowful piece written by both John and Paul, it tells of a guy who is reminded of a past love just by seeing the color red ("Please don't wear red tonight/This is what I said tonight/ For red is the color that will make me blue, in spite of you, it's true/Yes it is, it's true/Yes it is. ) One of my all-time favorites, and the one I currently can't stop listening to.
That's it, the first installment of Fanelli's Top 5. Every time I update, there'll be a new one.
I love you so much baby...thank you for being everything to me
Until next time, kiddies...
